2017 NY Solar Summit debuts the addition of LI to NY Solar Map
Sustainable CUNY’s 11th annual NY Solar+Storage Summit will take place on June 21, 2017 at John Jay College. Join New York's conThe day features a progress update on the innovative stepts that NY is taking to transition to a 21st century grid.
Also, CARSI will be announcing the edition of Long Island to their NY Solar Map. You can now get the solar potential for the building you are living in if you are anywhere in the Five Boroughs of NYC, Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk; over 2 million buildings! (see https://www.nysolarmap.com )
This project is now in its seventh year with Sustainable CUNY in the lead and CARSI responsible for all aspects of the mapping (i.e. LiDAR, parcels, buildings), modeling (i.e usable roof area, solar insolation, atmosphere, … etc.) and web-mapping components. Thanks to the CARSI team of Dr. Gordon Green and Dr. Hyojin Ahn for their excellent work!
