Theta Pi, GTU @ 20 Celebration
Gamma Theta Upsilon (GTU) is an international honor society in geography. Gamma Theta Upsilon was founded in 1928 and became a national organization in 1931. Members of GTU have met academic requirements and share a background and interest in geography. GTU chapter activities support geography knowledge and awareness. Hunter College's local Chapter, Theta Pi, was founded on November 13, 1998 and we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary. This will be an opportunity for the alumni to reconnect with the department and our program, to learn what they are doing today and how their degree helped make that possible, and for our current students to network and potentially make professional connections with our alumni.
