On Tuesday, October 21, the Greenbelt Society will host an exciting “Round-Robin” discussion centered on the 11-minute YouTube video “We killed 10,000 trees to restore an ancient forest.”

Here is a link if you want to view it before: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiDBAU2d7oE

The meeting will take place at HN 1028 at 2:45 p.m. Please let your students know that we are interested in restoration work, volunteering,  and discussions around climate change: doing and thinking! And hikes!

  • We will go around the room, and each person (student and faculty) will give a 15-30-second opinion or general take on the video and how they think the lessons from this video can be applied to NYC Restoration efforts and Nature-Based Solutions to Climate Change!
  • All ideas welcome, and faculty are encouraged to come and share their ideas and experiences as well!
  • To make things spicy, we might even prompt the students with “Devil’s Advocate” style questions!

Please share with the students, and we will be updating our calendar and social media soon!
