Career Night Panel with Hunter College, Department of Geography and Environmental Science Alumni

Who should attend: All students in the Department of Geography and Environment Science who have questions about how best to pursue a career in our profession and have questions for former department students who were once in their place and have on go to succeed.

Format: Each panelist will give a 5-7 minute presentation during which they will address the following questions with a Q and A session to follow.
a. What recommendations would you make about courses, skills and experiences current students should consider taking on while still in school.
b. What advice would you have for students on getting the job they want once they graduate? And what are tips to navigate the job search process?
c. What was the biggest surprise you found when entering the geography and environmental science job market? And what was your biggest challenge entering the market (and how did you overcome it/respond to it)?
