Remote Sensing

This course introduces students to the exciting work of remote sensing in geography, which is the process of collecting information about the Earth's surface from a distance, typically using satellites or aircraft. It involves measuring and analyzing electromagnetic radiation reflected or emitted by the Earth's surface to understand its physical characteristics and monitor changes over time.
Note: This course will satisfy as a 300-level elective or GTECH class for the Spatial Data Sciece Certificate.
