Fund for Mentored Collaborative Research

Fund for mentored and collaborative research is exclusively available to MGEOi students, which provides both financial and academic benefits. Application information will be distributed through the MGEOi mail list as well as Hunter official email addresses.

Conference and Travel Support

MGEOi students can apply for financial support, mostly in the form of a reimbursement, for conference registration and travel need. The amount for each student depends on the budget and the number of requests. Please contact the program advisor for the availability of the fund.

Research Assistant Position from Faculty

Faculty members in the department receive research grants from various sources. Some of them hire graduate students for research. In most cases, they hire those who have taken their courses and known each other.

Support and Awards from the Department and School of Arts and Sciences

The Department of Geography and Environmental Science provide awards and fellowships. Some categories apply to graduate students.

The School of Arts and Sciences also provides travel and thesis research grant, in addition to awards and scholarships.
