Creating
profile graphs
Profile graphs are used to
show elevation along a line drawn on a 3D surface. By showing elevation on the
vertical axis and distance on the horizontal axis, you can estimate an
elevation value at any point along the line and also visualize its general
relief.
This profile graph was created from the steepest path line
shown in the previous concept. The profile graph shows distance on the
horizontal axis and elevation on the vertical axis.
