GIScience at Hunter College, City University of New York
 

Multidisciplinary Connections	GIScience research and education at Hunter College continues to grow. Over the past five years, two additional faculty lines with a GIScience focus were added to the Geography Department. The Geography Department is implementing certificate programs in GIScience for both undergraduate and graduate students. Hunter College is developing a closer relationship with the Earth and Environmental Science Ph.D. Program at the CUNY Graduate Center to provide a Ph.D. in technical geography. Finally, Hunter College is receiving more and larger GIScience grants than anytime in recent history. The past half decade has been a great time for GIScience research at Hunter College and should continue to get better in the future.
