Connections

GIScience research and education at Hunter College continues to grow. Over the past five years, two additional faculty lines with a GIScience focus were added to the Geography Department. The Geography Department is implementing certificate programs in GIScience for both undergraduate and graduate students. Hunter College is developing a closer relationship with the Earth and Environmental Science Ph.D. Program at the CUNY Graduate Center to provide a Ph.D. in technical geography. Finally, Hunter College is receiving more and larger GIScience grants than anytime in recent history. The past half decade has been a great time for GIScience research at Hunter College and should continue to get better in the future.
