For Carbone 9e, here are the purely digital options:

1) EBook + Mastering Meteorology, price on our website
http://www.masteringmeteorology.com or www.MyPearsonStore.com: $58.00
(good for 18 months)

2) We do NOT recommend purchasing the e-Book lab manual from CourseSmart or BryteWave at this time. There have been major formatting issues when printing for the past three semesters and until we have evidence these formatting issues have been resolved we cannot accept printed labs fro these companies.  TBW  1/30/17

2) EBook only via www.coursesmart.com: $36.99  DO NOT PURCHASE THIS E-BOOK. IT HAS MAJOR FORMATTING PROBLEMS.

Note: Students must submit a completed hardcopy of every lab. Unless you have access to free printing, the eBook version of the lab manual might not save you money.

Textbook:
  • The Atmosphere: An Introduction to Meteorology, Books a la Carte Plus
MasteringMeteorology with eText -- Access Card Pa, 13/E
Frederick K. Lutgens, (Emeritus) Illinois Central College
Edward J. Tarbuck, (Emeritus) Illinois Central College
    Dennis G. Tasa, Illustrator
    ISBN-10: 0321987543
    ISBN-13: 9780321987549
    Publisher: Prentice Hall
    Copyright: 2016
Format: Unbound (saleable) with Access Card; 528 pages
    Suggested Retail Price: $123.47
  • For Lutgens/Tarbuck-The Atmosphere 13e, the cheapest purely digital option
for the book is for students to purchase Mastering Meteorology with eBook
    directly on the Pearson website:
    • EBook + Mastering Meteorology, price on our website
      http://www.masteringmeteorology.com or www.MyPearsonStore.com (ISBN#
      9780321989048): $71.50 (good for 18 months)
  • Even cheaper is a non-eBook option of just Mastering Meteorology (no
eBook) on the Pearson website http://www.masteringmeteorology.com or
    www.MyPearsonStore.com (ISBN# 9780321984838): $41.00 (good for 18 months)

One reason Mastering is such a good option for students is that if you look at used book prices, most students will not get a used book for much better than $70, which is about the price of Mastering + eBook. And of course Mastering gives them so much more than just the eBook.

It is acceptable to use the 12th or even the 11th edition
of the Lutgens & Tarbuck text.
